Who qualifies, and what they receive
The licensed charity in your area studies the case and decides. The platform carries out that decision; it does not make it. What follows is what each approved category receives.
- Widow
- A daily meal balance, and a monthly grocery basket.
- Divorced woman
- A daily meal balance, and a monthly grocery basket.
- Head of household
- A daily balance sized to approved dependants, and a monthly basket.
- Medical circumstances
- A daily meal balance.
- Orphan
- A daily meal balance.
- Other
- A daily meal balance, at the charity's assessment.
The balance is never paid in cash, never transferred to another person, and never carried over: what is unused today is not added to tomorrow. This is less a restriction on the household than what makes the balance available to the greatest number of households at once.
